Wooster's Competitive Scholarship Program

  • All scholarship awards are applicable toward tuition only and are renewable for four years. Students receiving a tuition benefit should be aware that the sum of that benefit plus any competitive award from Wooster will not exceed Wooster's tuition.
  • All Wooster scholarships are automatically renewed each year without regard to the student’s Wooster grade point average, so long as the student maintains full-time enrollment and remains in good academic standing.
  • GPA and academic record are subject to interpretation by the Scholarship and Admissions Committees.
  • Qualified applicants may compete or be considered for more than one scholarship. The College of Wooster, however, typically awards only one merit scholarship per student (performance scholarships are the exception to this guideline). Only finalists and those students selected to receive scholarships will be notified of results. Scholarship recipients may also be eligible for need-based financial aid, as determined by an analysis of completed financial aid information.
