The Grace E. Smith Memorial Walkway, extending from Beall Avenue west to Galpin Hall, was constructed in 1955 and was rebuilt in 2001. The Gault Library for Independent Study with its clock tower at the eastern end of the walkway on the south side. Lowry Student Center is directly across Beall Avenue.
