Troyer House

Small Houses

Following a tradition which began in the 1970s, small houses are available to groups of students who share a common interest. Programs may include a service aspect, such as volunteering for a local agency or may be designed to offer programs which educate the community about a specific topic or issue.

Did You Know? - Occupancy in small houses is generally seven to 14 students, and includes access to Internet, cable, laundry and kitchen facilities.

Other than living in a dorm, one may choose to live in a program house. In cooperation with the Wooster Volunteer Network, a group of dedicated students live together with a focus on a particular service. Whether volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, the Y.M.C.A., or being a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters, college students have the opportunity to apply their youth and enthusiasm to community service.
