Oak Grove

Oak Grove

The Oak Grove is located in the center of campus, primarily between Kauke Hall to the south, Ebert Art Center to the north, Galpin Hall to the west and Lowry Center to the east. The wooded hilltop that is the Oak Grove is what led the founders of the College to build Wooster where it currently resides.

Did You Know? - The College has an endowment fund that supports a tree conservation maintenance and replacement program. In fact, many of the oldest trees were standing when Wooster was founded in 1866.

The College of Wooster campus is filled with old traditions that we carefully keep. The Oak Grove has been that traditional location of our graduation ceremony. Just imagine yourself sitting in front of Kauke Arch when your four years of college are behind you. While it is just a thought, you never know when it might become a reality.
