Mateer Hall

Mateer Hall is an air-conditioned facility that houses the Biology Department at Wooster. Many of the features of Mateer Hall include classrooms, laboratories, a biology library and a greenhouse.

Did You Know? - In the basement of Mateer Hall is a 250-seat lecture room that is also used to show first-run movies every weekend during the school year.

This academic building is home to our Biology department. Upon entering the building, everyone is greeted by “Izzy” the Iguana. Courses are matched with lab offerings, allowing hands-on learning. Students within this department are able to design a specialty within their major, and have the opportunity to do innovative research with professional biologists.
